Create a Constant Funnel of Marketing Content

When I travel and speak to clients, one of the biggest hangups surrounding their consistent use of digital media and tools for their marketing is the lack of “things to say”. Foo Fighters Handle Rumors the Correct (Viral) Way

If you pay attention to music news (or watch the Oscars), you may have noticed that during the Academy Awards, Dave Grohl did a wonderful rendition of the Beatles' 'Blackbird'. For the record, I am a big Beatles fan and usually hate all covers of their song. Not this one.

WATCH THE PERFORMANCE HERE: Dave Grohl 'Blackbird'

The performance caused some stir. Rumors quickly hit the internet about how the band was breaking up and that Dave was going solo. It didn't take long for every website be carrying the demise of the Foo Fighters after 20+ years of rocking. Not so fast, says the Fighters' front man. However, he didn't actually say that.

The Lemon Parade

Music is a wonderous thing. There are songs for me that can bring me back to any moment in time. Few bad, mostly good.

A really trying, exciting, learning time for me was in my early twenties. I had just re-moved back into my mom’s house to keep watch on its vacancy. My father had just died and she moved my brothers and sisters to South Jersey to be closer to her brother. It was a smart move.

While I stayed watch, I had little furniture. Just a couple of places to eat, sit and sleep. But I also had my beautiful JVC 7-disc CD player. It lasted forever and kicked some serious ass for a little box.

I remember listening to Tonic’s Lemon Parade continuously during that time. I remember waiting for my wife (then my girlfriend) to show up for homemade chicken cheesesteaks with lemon and a side of pickles. I remember the screen door being open on a wonderful spring day with the anticipation of her arriving and me dancing around the living room like a 6 year old. I remember the cool breeze, this song cranked all the way up and finally, the scent of her perfume.

Ahhh, good times.
